This is from the PS2 version of Mafia. Filmed this version since my graphics card on my computer is crap, it's easier to film with a console/TV then on a PC, and this is the version I grew up with. This is covers the second part of Mission 17:Election Campaign.

Here is the original walkthrough I wrote for this mission:

Mission 17: Election Champaign

Objective(s): Get some guns from Vince, Talk to Ralph, Break into the prison, Assassinate the politician

Get some guns from Vince

Run up to the weapons room and talk to Vince. Grab the Sniper Rifle and Colt .45, then run down into the auto-yard.

Talk to Ralph

Talk to Ralph and he'll show you how to steal a Wright. Pick the lock, get in, and drive out to the street.

Break into the prison

Drive to the prison on Central Island, park your car and get out. Equip the .45 and shoot the city worker (trust me) walk over to his dead body and press "action". Watch the cinematic and press "action' again to climb down into the sewer. Run straight ahead to the next later and climb up.

Assassinate the politician

Run around the left of the brick building to the left. Run down this pathway and go through the brown door on the left at the end. Run into the prison and go through the gate on the left. Run trough this area and through the next gate. Head up the steps to the rights, crouch down and shoot the guy walking past. Shoot the three guys to the left. Grab the Smith & Wesson Model 27 Magnum, Smith & Wesson Model 10, and Switchblade. Equip the Magnum and go back to the stairs. Go through the door straight-ahead (right from when you get off the stairs). Run through these two rooms and left into the lighted hallway, a guy will run into a room. run through the gate and into that room, shoot him and grab his Shotgun. Press "action" to grab the lead pipe up against the cabinet. There's a First Aid Kit here you can use if you need it. Run back out into the area where you fought the four guys run toward the fire and through the gate next to it. Run into the wooden area straight ahead and up the stairs to the left. At the top make a left and another left into the open door. Run over to the door and press "action" to knock the guy on the other side over. When he gets up shoot him with the Shotgun. Crouch down and grab the Shotgun Ammo, shoot the two guys in this area. Grab the .38 Ammo and run to the other end of this area. A guy with a Bat will show up behind you turn around and blow his ass away. Two more guys will show up behind you, turn around again and kill them. Grab the Shotgun Ammo and Baseball Bat from the fallen enemies. Run through the door the two guys appeared in and into the room with the big hole in the wall. Use the First Aid Kit here if you need it. Run down the corridor behind you, shoot the guy in the gated area at the end of this corridor. Sneak over to the stairs to the right and blast the guy waiting for you. Run up to the top of these stairs and through the door. Equip the Sniper Rifle press "attack" to use the scope. When you see the politician, the dude with the green arrow pointed at him, get him in your crosshairs and fire. Chances are you wont get him in the first shot, and you only have a few seconds before he runs into his car and drives off. Shoot him twice if needed. This isn't easy but it isn't impossible. Close the door you just came through and run to the end of the balcony. Use the Sniper Rifle to kill the four dogs in the yard below, I know this sounds cruel it saves you trouble later. Run back to the stairs and all the way down to the bottom. Equip the Lead Pipe and run to the metal door to the left, press "action" and Tommy will pry the lock off. If you didn't kill the city worker earlier he'll have called the police and you will have to kill two trench coat wearing guys (I don't know if they're cops or what).

Sub-mission 5:(Mission 17)

Drive to Lucas' and talk to him.

New objective: Pick up Lucas' friend before the cops do

Get in your car and drive to the location. Park in front of the friend until the dialogue is over. When he gets in go back to Lucas.

New objective: Steal the car in Oakwood

Get in your car and drive to Oakwood. Equip the Bat and sneak up behind the two guys who are gawking at the white convertible. Hit them both with "power shots" and pick the lock of the car. Don't shoot the guys or two gunmen will kill you. Don't let the two gunmen see you either approach the car on its right by driving around the other street not the one the car is parked on. When you pick the lock, get in the car, and drive back to Salieri's. (You might have to delete a car, delete the Wright Coup.)
