Personal Pontoon Boats - The Way To Float A River

Personal Pontoon Boats - The Way To Float A River by Trevor Kugler

There may be no better way to float a river than a personal pontoon boat. Canoes abd kayaks are serviceable for river floating, but the convenience that a personal pontoon offers is almost unreal. You may be asking, what is a personal pontoon boat anyway? Well, a personal pontoon boat is simply a seat or pair of seats mounted on a pair if inflatable pontoons. Personal Pontoon boats go by many different names, but that's basically what they are.

The accessibility that they offer is unmatched. Unlike a canoe where you have to pull over and walk to the front of the boat or in the case of a kayak, extricate yourself from inside of the boat in order to get out, with an inflatable pontoon boat you simply pull over and step off. A personal pontoon boat is much more convenient than the other two.

Whether you aim is fishing, sightseeing, or just plain exploring a personal pontoon may be what your looking for. In the case of fishing, you wear your waders and when you come to a nice stretch of river, simply pull over, step off the boat, and fish the stretch. It's as simple as that. Then, when you're finished fishing, you simply get back on the boat and continue down the river.

Another beautiful thing about personal pontoon boats is how lightweight they are. If you come to an area of the river with fallen trees, simply stop, pick up your boat, carry it over the debris, and continue down the river. Crossing obstacles can be tough if you're by yourself in a canoe for example, but with a lightweight personal pontoon, it's no problem at all.

Give a personal pontoon boat a try on your favorite river and you won't be disappointed. You'll agree that it's the only way to float a river. These boats aren't bad on small lakes either, don't forget about that.
